Raw Signal Data
Unprocessed, high-resolution acceleration data, used for advanced analytics and the development of digital biomarkers and new clinical endpoints.
Filtered Epoch Data
Raw data is summarized into 60-second epochs and converted to activity counts, which can be used to generate activity and sleep measures.
Activity & Sleep Measures
Population-specific activity and sleep measures are derived from public algorithms that were developed and validated by members of the academic research community.
Daily Activity Profile
Steps taken, kcals, and activity counts
Activity Bouts
Custom defined bouts of sustained physical activity
Activity Intensity
Time spent within different categories of activity intensity (sedentary, MVPA, etc.)
Sleep Score
Including total sleep time, wake after sleep onset (WASO), and sleep efficiency
Wear Compliance
Amount and percentage of time the subject wore the activity monitor

CentrePoint Technology Ecosystem
Remote access to real-world subject data drives efficiency in a clinical trial or research study. We’ve developed a flexible ecosystem of tools that seamlessly transfer collected activity monitor data to CentrePoint or a third party EDC system, in near real time.
CentrePoint Mobile Apps
A suite of site- and patient-facing mobile applications for iOS and Android provide flexible options for assigning devices, managing subjects, and uploading data to CentrePoint.
CentrePoint Sync
Patients can upload summary epoch data to CentrePoint. This app includes the option to display activity monitor feedback, including steps, kcals, and sleep efficiency.

CentrePoint Site Assistant Coming soon
Clinical trial site personnel can use this app to assign CentrePoint Insight Watches during site visits remotely.
CentrePoint Patient Connect Coming soon
Patients can upload raw signal data collected by CentrePoint Insight Watches to the CentrePoint system.
CentrePoint Data Hub
The CentrePoint Data Hub securely transmits collected activity monitor data from the subject’s home to the CentrePoint cloud via 3G cellular network or wired Internet connection, allowing for remote monitoring of wear compliance and subject behavior.
CentrePoint API
Direct REST API access is available for all CentrePoint endpoints including raw (minute-by-minute) data (captured via mobile uploads or direct connect) and post-processed outcomes for each subject. Data outcomes are also available at the study-level as summary averages and totals. Subject profiles can be created, modified and queried with some limitations.
CentrePoint Data Security
The CentrePoint system leverages existing cloud-based technologies to provide a robust, scalable solution that implements industry best practices. CentrePoint utilizes Microsoft Azure's cloud computing platform for hosting sites/services, data processing, subject/study management, and blob storage for raw minute epoch data files. For storage of parsed minute epoch data and analytics, CentrePoint leverages the AWS Relational Database Service (RDS).
